For 19 years at various positions, he contributed to the implementation of projects, such as: “Development of local self-government in the Kyrgyz Republic”, implemented by the Urban Institute Bishkek, the Association of Cities of the Kyrgyz Republic, funded by USAID; “Supporting the Rural Population,” ADB; “Village Investment Project”, “Bishkek and Osh Urban Infrastructure Project”, World Bank; “Sending communities lobby local issues,” ICCO Cooperation; “BIRGE — Social Cohesion through Supporting Community Initiatives” implemented by the Aga Khan Foundation with the support of the World Bank. Based on the results of his work, he was awarded with Certificate of Honor from ARIS (Agency for Development and Investment of Communities) in 2006, and Certificate of Honor of Osh Mayor’s Office in 2011 and 2014.
The implementation of the Projects was carried out jointly with government bodies, LSG bodies, civil and non-governmental sectors. Accordingly, Medet Burgoev has an extensive network of contacts among local government bodies, non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations.
Medet has graduated from Kyrgyz Technical University in 1995 with BA in Machine engineering, his second major is Lawyer.
